ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

little valve cover oil breather filters. are they any good?

just want some info on those lil air filter looking cones that goes were the intake hose meets the valve cover. i saw my brother rocking one on his civic and i asked him if its any good and he doesnt even know hes just seen some other ppl do it lol.

I like to just run a hose to the intake like it come stock but some people dont like the hose so they slap one on to make the engine bay look cleaner thats why you will see them on cars with wire tucks. They are also good if you have a aftermarket intake without the spot to hook the hose up to.

All it will do is get rid of the hose, but then you will have a hole in your intake tube.

they are made for people to use with intake tubes missing the port or for people that dont like the little hose.

If you are thinking it might some how add power it wont.

lol yeah i already knew there was no real power gain but wat about effiency or anything positive from it? well i bougth one and i think ima put it on for now for no real reason. im thinking im just guna cap off the niple that comes out of my intake pipe but then im not sure what to do with the metal hard line thats in between the hose. wut u think? cap both ends of the hard line or just leave it alone with no hoses at each end after i remove them?

Take it off. You will need to get a longer peace of hose to bypass it. I bypassed it on my car. Want pix?

These lil breather filter aren't much. When i got my current CB it had one an leaked throwing oil out. That shit had to go i have to keep my engine bay different, clean, an leak free just one of my pet pevs.I don't think they even look good.If your concerned with oil in the intake pipe get a long enough peice of hose an tuck it down along side the block, but your going get oil in the intake mani anyway thru the PCV like already stated above.
