ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Tach Issues....still.

yeah i know this has been cover numerous times. ive read them all. but heres the scoop. My tach had been jumping for sometime now. but today i just replaced the external ignition coil. i rev it a little, nothing pass 2500. it seemed like it was fixed until i started reving pass 3000. it started jumping around again. let me clarify that it jumps up but never downwards. it settles back down to its last reading point. alternator and distributor a year old. wtf?

                        Dizzy removal
                        1. Disconnect all dizzy wire connectors(2 plugs n pull the Ign wires from head)
                        2. Remove the 3 12mm bolts n remove dizzy
                        3. Unscrew the 3 8mm/Phillips screws holding the cover
                        4. Rotate dizzy to locate phillips screw holding the rotor n remover both
(may take some force if it's ur first time removing
                        5. Remove dust cover
                        6. Ignitor is the smaller device with 4 wires connected disconnect the four wire n unscrew using Phillips.
                        7. Pat yourself on the back for a job welldone
                        8. Reverse order for installation
                        9. Test your skills and fire her up to see if problem persists

My car is having the SAME EXACT issue. it jumps as soon as it hits 3000. except mine jumps from 3000 straight to 4200 and stays there until the actual rpms meet up with it again. works fine before 3000 and after 4200. i changed my ignitor today with a brand new one and cleaned the contact points very good. But unfortunately it DID NOT solve my issue. i dont know if maybe we have a bad connection at the back of the cluster or what. i was pissed i just wasted money on a new ignitor that while i was driving the car i hit the dash really hard above the cluster and it started working correctly again. lol but then it start acting up again a few miles down the road
