ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    CEL on and no codes?

Okay.. so for the last three or so days my car has been sitting while ive been riding my bike back and forth due to the nice weather for once.. well today i went to start it and for some reason it was dead, so i brought my dads truck up and jumped started it and it wont start forever.. so after i let it sit for about 10 minutes while still being connected to the jumped vehicle it finally started.. when it did start it would bog down before it would rev at all, and it has no power at all... so i tried putting it in gear to just to see if it would still be drivable and at about 3k it pops like a fuel cut off or something.. It has a check engine light on.. so i tried bridging the blue connector under the pass dash and i got no flashes at all from the ecu.. I was told that means bad ECU? am i correct? And would i be able to run a manual PT6 in my auto temporarily?

I have a 1993 10th Ann. I about a month ago put all the A6 parts on it and the PT6 ECU out of a junkyard.. my PT3 that i had my dad lovingly threw away because he said it was "trash" All i need is a pt3 to run it for about a month or so until i can finish getting the parts for the manual swap.. Thats why i was curious about if a manual PT6 would work..

same exact thing happened to me. i believe the ecu was in * limp mode * and it wont let the engine rev higher than 3k rpm . i changed the ecu with the same exact one and the light came off and it ran normally. then i decided to upgrade ecu to a p12 ( out of a 92 prelude manual ) and it works even better and my car is an auto. as far as i know it doesn't matter if the ecu is out of an auto or manual. just make sure it fits

So after i let my car sit for a couple hours and it cooled down a bit.. my car started right up with no codes and runs like she always does.. Could there be anything to do with the heat we had today (70ish) which is the hottest its been since i put the PT6 in the car? at night she runs just fine? i dont get it..

mine was doing the same thing everytime i disconnected the battery. if my car was in * limp mode* ( with 3k rpm limiter ) i would disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then connected it and the ecu would reset and run like normal. i did this like 8 times and after that i could no longer fix it by disconnecting the battery it stayed in * limp mode * untill i replaced the ecu witha working one
