Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

94 accord o2 sensor

    94 accord o2 sensor

    Can a o2 sensor from a 94 accord replace the one on the 90-93 accord? Its still works. My buddy is parting out some parts off an 94 accord.

    Most likely yes as long as the wire is the right length and the connector is of the right style

      If you have to splice wires, you may alter the resistance, which could make a good sensor read improperly.

      A new sensor from rockauto.com is only about $40...

        94 95 the plug is reversed as far the male and female plugs. so the o2 sensor you get from a 5th gen with have the same plug as the harness side plug for the o2 sensor. if that makes and sense.

              Such a harness COULD change the resistance, though. it's going through splices and twice the connectors... but it's better than hacking the stock wiring up!

              Honestly, it might just be easier, if splicing is to be done, to just splice the connector from the old sensor onto the new one. Never cut your car's wiring harness if you can avoid it!

                If done properly like i did the resistance added should be so negligible

                Hell the stock wiring on an EX isn't the same length as an LX but they run the same.

                  Yeah, but they don't run the same sensor, or the same ECU.

                  There may be no difference... but it's possible that it could cause a problem. As wed3k said earlier today in another thread, once the ECU starts throwing o2 sensor codes, the o2 sensor is already deader than dead. It could function 85% correctly (pulling that number out of my ass) and not cause any noticeable problems... but it's still not running properly.

                    yea wasnt sure since i was getting a free o2 sensor, but anyways ill stick to 90-93 accords. thanks
