ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    boring f22a1 motor

hello i want to buy another f22 motor to start my turbo build.there a place like 30mins from my house that does block work since 1983.i called and talk to the guy he said he can clean and bore the block 1mm over all for $70.i wanted to now if thats a good deal if so how far should i bore the block for my turbo build.i will be using the piston and rods from bisi.and thank yall for yalls help

I wouldn't bore it at all. If you're going to boost it, it would be unwise to weaken the cylinder walls by boring.

I changed your thread title, so it doesn't look like you're asking to buy a motor in this section... because that would get you banned.

ok ty, so it better to just stay with the stock bore than but just have them clean it.

Honing it will be necessary, and perhaps a very slight bore so you can run a piston with the proper clearance... Bisimoto will be able to tell you what you need to do, I'm sure (talk to Julio, he's very knowledgeable and helpful.)

But you don't want to bore a significant amount. It would increase displacement, but it would weaken your cylinder walls. The risk wouldn't be worth the gain. If you want to bore, I would resleeve it with stronger sleeves.

Bisimoto/Arias forged pistons require you to bore 1mm.

Just to let you guys know you can get away with 1mm bore on the F22 and still be ok with moderate boost levels and very good tune to avoid detonation. Of course if you are plan on runner higher amounts of boost I would recommend doing after market iron sleeves

                  LOL

esskater892 - The F22 stock sleeves are iron sleeves but off course they are a thin iron sleeve pressed into an aluminium block. Aftermarket iron sleeves like the ones we get done for all of our race cars and projects are a much thicker iron sleeves that can support much high combustion pressures with either high hp all-motor or turbo application!
