ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Clicking noice when I let off the clutch

My car makes a clicking noice when
I let off the clutch but not when I turn
And I hear a rattle when I hit a bump
I just need to know what it is

It could be that your throw-out bearing is bad...

When u engage the clutch the throw out bearing disengages and stops spinning (litlle/or not making any noise)
once you let off it goes back to spinning(making noise). It could be it.. Hopefully someone has had this problem before and can tell you exactly but I would say throw-out bearing. Good luck...

is it coming from under the dash? My clutch pedal used to click back into its seat after i let off completely. like there was an inmperfection in the metal that it rolled over or something.

try sticking your head under there and pushing it with your hand with the car off.

Make sure the clutch master cylinderr is firmly mounted to the firewall.
The bolt heads are inside the cabin under the clutch pedal assembly.
I believe they are 12mm or 13 mm. You will need a 6 inch or 1 foot ratchet extension to reach them.

Also, make sure your clutch pedal assembly is sound. Sometimes the lynchpin/linchpin/clevis pin that the pedal pivots on wears, and the pedal becomes wobbly as a result and can make noises or vibrate when you aren't pressing on it and holding the metal surfaces against one another. This is, after all, a 20 yr old car.

You're really not giving us much to go on here... Have you tried investigating the source of this click yourself? Perhaps have someone else press the pedal while you listen from different angles...

I have tryed a few things like opening the hood and
Having my friend watch as I let off the pedel.
Taking off the tire and looking if anything was loose.
its a wierd poping noice coming
From the drivers side what sound like the wheel well.
It seems like it pops when the momentum
                Of the car changes

It may not be clutch related then. Check all your suspension components... ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings. If any of the rubber is torn or damaged, those parts must be replaced.

yes, froont end/suspension related or motor mount related. Anything that is immediately affected by an abrupt drop to zero of power to the wheels.

And check any of the bolts that are vertical that connect to the steering knuckle on the driver's side wheel. Check that the radius rod bushings are sound and haven't deteriorated.
