ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Good deal on exhaust system?

Hey guys, I have an opportunity to get an Alphawerks catback exhaust. My stock exhaust is a bit rusted underneath with a hole or two. The Alphawerks is only about a hundred bucks, but it's made for a sedan and I've got a wagon. Would it be worth it to get the Alphawerks and have it bent and fit for my wagon? It seems like a good deal to me considering the price for a brand new exhaust, etc.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

    *Edit*
I updated the name of this thread and asked a few questions in my most recent post below. Thanks!

i'd buy it asap. figure just a stock mid pipe is around $80-$95. shouldnt be too difficult to fit to a wagon.

Thanks guys. I'm making a big trip down to Kansas City on Sunday to pick up a bunch of accord93racer's stuff from his to-be-junked sedan, and this is one of the main things I'm going down there for. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a waste of a trip, only to have someone say "this won't work for your wagon."

The pics looked good. He said it wasn't on his car long at all. The chrome looked like it might have a little bit of oxidation on it, but it could've just been dirty. Either way, nothing a little bit of Mother's Chrome Polish wouldn't take care of I'm sure.

Alright guys, I got the exhaust last week. It's basically brand new, not a scratch on it.

Now, I also got a Catco high-flow cat-converter too (since he had it and I was there). The entire system starting with the cat all the way back is 2.5". My motor is 100% stock, and I plan on keeping it fairly stock except for basic bolt-ons because of the high mileage (284k).

19dabeast85 has an awesome flexpipe eliminator. See it somewhere on this page I'm just trying to fit this all together in my head and ask you guys if it will all work well (well being the key word). Coming off of the stock down pipe, would dabeast's piece into the cat, into the Alphawerks be a good combo?

Also, I live in Illinois and my car is no longer tested for emissions. Could I benefit/suffer from eliminating the cat altogether?
