ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Installing Magstar Super Inductor Wires

Well the guy I bought the car from had theses in the trunk,

    http://www.generalcable.com/NR/rdonl...gstarSS_FA.pdf

Is it worth installing them?.. They're yellow, and I think they'd look cool.. But besides that? I'm not to sure what they do.. Or how to completely install them. Any responses would help.

EDIT: Also a little side question. Is the "Low on gas light" suppose to come on when you turn the key to the II position? (When all the other lights come on)

ALL the wire are a certain length take one off the car and compare it in length to a new one. If there the same put the new one in place once there are all in your done. If you take them all off at once you might get them mixed up and the car will miss fire.

They won't be any better than the OEM wires... probably worse, actually. The Sumitomo wires that come from the factory have been tested to produce the best results out of all major options (Magstar not being one of them... in fact, I never heard of that brand before...)

If you want to install them, faqncb7 has it right. The 4 wires will have 4 unique lengths. The shortest wire will go to the cylinder closest to the distributor. Look at the wire on there now, and see where it goes on the distributor... Put the new short wire in its place.

Sounds easy enough. But I'm guessing they were in the trunk for a reason. The OEM are probably better.

or the guy was just lazy...

But yeah, Sumitomo wires are best, NGK are next... everything else is a gimmick. Really, the stock ignition system is good for more than 500hp... which most of us will never even see.
