ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/B8DlYTEq7Zo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

anyone know what could be causing this noise? this guy told be it's just because its an old car with a lot of miles on it. it's made noises ever since i had the car.

First check out your power steering reservoir and see if u have enough power steering fluid. pour some if its low. Make sure to use Honda Genuine only otherwise it will damage it.

I like to hold a a flashlight and illuminate the reservoir so I can see the line well.

          Any leaks from ur car?

If you didn't need to add any, then the ps pump might have to be replaced.

Hows your steering? does it feel rough? or you have to struggle turning?

Well i don't know if ur car is ur dd or weekend car, but yeah its possible. It's just normal wear and tear. Think about it, every time u drive the ps pump is working so that you'll have an easier time steering the wheel. You'll know if the pump is bad, lol trust me. I was driving my brothers DB, parked it then started the car to head out and noticed a big change when i started maneuvering out of the lot. I got out and a large amount of ps fluid leaking from under.

You might have bad power steering fluid in the system or bubble in the system.
Drain it out and refill with approved Honda PS fluid and bleed the bubble out by...

Jack up and support the frontend up so it's easy to steer your wheel LEFT and RIGHT.
OPEN the cap on the PS reservior and leave the cap off...
..DONT let the new PS fluid in the reservior empty out..
..Watch the PS reservior tank as you TURN the steering wheel full turn to the RIGHT and full turn to the LEFT.... keep doing it til you hear no more hissing noise....

MAKE SURE THE PS FLUID IN THE RESERVIOR DONT EMPTY OUT OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE BUBBLE IN THE SYSTEM AGAIN!!
