ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    camber question

i found a camber kit for the back of my car so i can set negative camber so that i can tuck my wheels in
but what i cant find is a camber kit for the front that allows for negative camber
most camber kits that ive found only allow for positive camber
and the only camber kits i find are the bolt type, but im looking for the camber arm type
does anyone know if they actually make front upper camber arms for our cars?

what brand of camber kit did you find that will let you do negative adjustments? most camber kits correct the negativity.

There is no "camber arm type"
The anchor bolt type and the ball joint type do exactly the same thing, just by moving different parts.

Honestly, the way the front is, there's not much more you can do to get more negative camber other than just lowering the car further. Anything that would slide the arm back more would make contact with metal.
You could always have a custom shortened control arm made. I believe people have used an adjustable upper control arm for an EF Civic. I wouldn't recommend mixing parts like that, but it may be worth looking into if that's what you want to do.

i cant really go any lower, and im kind of stuck with the wheels that i bought with 0 offset so i wanted to add a lot of negative camber to get them inside the fender and i was also going to roll my fenders.
i might look into the civic control arms but i might just have to find another way to make it work.
              thanks for the info

spc balljoint camber kits can either do +3 degrees positive or negitive camber.

Deev hates balljoint kits blah blah blah LOL (ducks head and runs for cover)
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

A few members here have used them. I believe excalibur02 has them on one of his cars.

It's not something i would trust, personally.

Because the stock control arms are not intended to have the ball joint pressed out... it is unsafe to put that thin band of metal holding the joint in place under such stress, and then add an adjustable piece that will add even MORE stress on such a vital suspension component!
Installed on a new control arm that does not have a ball joint in place already (which means aftermarket...), the ball joint kits are fine. I happen to have one on my car.

I don't "hate" them... I just like to educate people about the risks they're taking before they kill themselves, or break their cars. Maybe I should just start giving out shitty ricer advice like everyone else. Then I won't be criticized for actually thinking...
