Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    catalytic converter??

    My cat has taking a dump on me and its making my exhaust sound like crap so im looking at cats right now... anyone using a magnaflow cat or anything other than stock that could share their output please ...Thanks

    I've heard good things about Magnaflow...

    Don't expect any performance gains from anything fancy, though. A stock replacement will do just fine.

      not really looking for performance just a good sound cause mine sounds like crap and if its not that im getting a new muffler something smaller

        As long as it's a quality stock replacement piece, and it's in good shape, it should sound fine. If things still sound awful, it's probably related to something else in the exhaust system.

            Yeah, the cat should be functional for more than just sound... so fixing it is important regardless!

              I have the Magnaflow cat on my cb7, it has worked great for the short period of time that I have had it. I would consider either OEM or something very close to OEM for a catalytic converter because the cheaper ones tend to go after 2 years or so.

                you should find out why the cat was taken out. burning coolant, oil, misfires...

                    i had one on my car. it sounded ok but it was loud. not loud enough for me so i took it off. haha

                      lol i mem my first exhust system i bought it off of ebay for my 91 teg and than i took it to this shop and they had to fix a few things b/c it wasnt sitting right ...

                      well they took out the rezators , and placed it with pipe

                      but the thing i told him was that i wanted stright pipe .... not knowing wtf i was in for .... he took my cat off (since it was gutted) and than put a pipe threw it so it looked like a cat but anyway so yeah that shit was loud as HELL u could hear me from BLOCKS away .... imo it was cool at first but than kinda dum
