ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Well, hids usually go in the headlights....
I've been thinking about putting them in my car. I'd cut the grounds to various things, like main relay and the starter.
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

hide it in a glove box, and lock it every time you leave the car?

That'd be one way. But I could break open the glove box with my hands. I'm going to have them in a few different places. I'm not going to say where, because it's a public forum. But if you want my ideas, PM me.

My 92 LX came with one in it. It is kinda under the dash. I never even noticed until camping last year somehow I knocked the key thing out and my car wouldn't start. The only thing is if its on you can still bump start it and everything still works if the key is on. My girl noticed it when we got home sitting on the floor.

Also my friends Acura has the exact same thing, but it looks like someone just hacked it in there. So I don't know if it was a stock option or what?

so if the kill switch is flipped to the ON position, you can still bump it if the key position is turned ? <---- is that what you meant ?

It just has a key thing you put in to start or you can take it out so it won't start. It's kinda lame, but atleast it is a little bit of a deterrent. It would definately slow someone down if they were tryin to jack your car.

I don't know how it is wired, but I would think if someone tried to hotwired it you would still have to push start. I'm a noob to this so I don't really know.

I can take a pic if you want.

get a switch and hide it behing the "open hood" lever, remove the "ECU" fuse on the "underdash" fusebox and hook the switch up to that fuse

another could be a switch for the main relay
                      tons of posibilities

You said where can you buy a switch it?

I bought one online for 5 beans, all it is, a switch and 2 wires man.

You don't have 2 buy a kit. How ever the 1 I got came with a shit length of wires.

I bought an alarm with one built in it so once the alarm goes off the car wont start.
