ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    High NOx reading... any suggestions?

I just took my accord to get it's smog check and seemed to pass in all but one area.

    Here are the reading:

    @ 15mph, RPM 1803
    %CO2 - 14.8
    %O2 - 0.1

    HC (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    61/28/25

    CO (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    0.51/0.10/0.01

    NO (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    490/230/476

    @ 25mph, RPM 2465
    %CO2 - 14.7
    %O2 - 0.2

    HC (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    36/17/17

    CO (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    0.49/0.08/0.00

    NO (MAX/AVE/MEAS)
    730/203/1197

I just removed my EGR and cleaned the opening into the engine with CARB cleaner, along with the opening on the EGR itself. I wasn't sure if that was the "passageway" that I've read about. I tried to compare the cleaning method to one I watched on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8N-SE047VY, but it wasn't the same setup on mine. I have a 93 accord SE. Not sure what year he was working on. I also replaced the O2 sensor with a DENSO O2 sensor a few months ago when my CEL popped on.

Hopefully someone has a solution or a suggestion that can help me. Thanks!

You can probably retard the timing -2 below spec but it wont help to much and will raise your hc a little

Usually nox numbers go down with speed and you have the oppisite. But I would of cleaned the egr ports on the manifold itself. If possible get some hard wire and run it through the channels from the egr solinoid through where the egr ports are.

What puzzles me is that you are still showing o2. Usually that should be used up if not .1 should be zero. Do you have an exhaust leak?

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
