ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

Will a high flow fuel & fuel rail make a difference in a tune?

I was looking to buy a walbro 255lph fuel pump w/ a aem fuel rail before I get my car tuned, but was wondering how much of a difference they'll make? I'm on the verge of just buying the s300 & getting my car tuned but don't know if the fuell pump & fuel rail will help out any since I won't be getting another tune for a year or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated and here's a list of my current set up:

    H22a1
Clutchmaster Lightened Flywheel & Stage 2 Clutch
    MFactory 4.64 Final Drive
    Skunk2 68mm TB & Pro Series IM
    AEM CAI
    Hytech Replica Header
    NGK wires & plugs
    ST sway bars
    Tein springs
    Skunk2 sport shocks
Megan Racing strut bars, control arms, & lower tie bar
    2.5' exhaust

You will not need a high flow fuel rail. However, a 255lph fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator can be a bonus when tuning. I would imagine that your not going to need much more than stock on this setup. Also if you use the 255 pump & adj. FPR it will help if you hit the limits of the stock injectors.

Is this a stock internal H22?
    What injectors are you using?

The internals & injectors are all stock yes. So just getting the fuel pump, a FPR, and the s300 will be good for my first tune? I'm planning on replacing all the internals & sleeving the block in a year, so nothing will really get replaced for a while.

Yeah I would say that should do it. Check with your tuner to make sure that you don't need anyhting else. For your current build that should be enough. Spend the money on injectors when you do your internal work. Even after your build a high flow fuel rail won't be required. They are mostly for if you want to run A/N fuel lines & fittings. Other that that most people just buy them for looks/bling factor.

Just remember, more fuel does not equal more power. You only need enough to properly fuel your engine for the power that it makes.

Cool thanks GhostAccord for the advice and deevergote for the feedback. I'm going N/A on this build so even when I do decide to upgrade my internals, along with the injectors, a high flow fuel rail isnt really necessary

Yeah, you should be fine with the stock fuel rail, as well as your stock ignition system.
The fuel pump and injectors will be candidates for upgrade after a while, but not right away.
