what are the settings that you would set the safc to??? i'm going with the dsm turbo set up and i want to be able to drive it to the shop for it to get it tuned...

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

safc boosting question???

I would NOT suggest using an SAFC for tuning a turbo setup. Even tuned by a pro, such a setup offers very little engine management control, and you are very likely to damage your engine very quickly. Your best bet would be to get a P06 ECU, chip it, and have that tuned. It's also very easy to find an F22A basemap to get you to the shop. The P06 can be had for $20-$50, and a chipping kit is about $25. If you're taking it to a shop, they should have everything else you need for tuning.
Honestly, if you're set on using the SAFC, I suggest having the car towed to the shop, rather than risking the drive.
That, or disconnect a charge pipe and drive it with no boost at all... it'll sound like crap, but you'll be less likely to damage your engine.

i dont know much about the SAFC thing but from what i read up on going turbo a chipped and tuned ecu is much more reliable option...
