ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

lets talk antifreeze

So, most yellow antifreeze is an all makes all models can be mixed with anything with no harm. The aftermarket is coming out with this to minimize the amount of different types to have to make and stock. OE brands have their own versions, Honda is blue, euro is usually pink, and gm uses dex-cool.
The old green will be gone soon.
These new types of antifreezes protect aluminum alot better as well. The biggest reason for corosion in the cooling system is electrolysis. Using regular tap water or distilled water is bad as it promotes this. If your gonna use pure antifreeze and add water use de-ionized. If your cooling system is getting corroded you can try adding a few ground wires to the engine and body.
As for the correct ratio, it depends on your temps in your area but 50/50 is good and even up to 30% antifreeze and 70% water if it doesn't get very cold where you live.
For the record as well, the yellow all makes will mix with anything with no problems. We use it at the shop and it works great.

I wouldn't mix types unless you know for certain that they're compatible. Chances are, the old coolant has mixed with the rubber hoses, so that residue alone may cause issues. I'm only guessing here, as I have nothing to base this on... but on that assumption alone, I wouldn't risk it.
The regular autoparts-store green stuff works fine. If it doesn't, it's not the fault of the coolant. There's something else going wrong!

Hes right for more then one reason. If you are thinking something is wrong with the Green, your crazy.
It works great on lots of cars.
I run Fluidyne on one of my DSM's, and again, deev's right. The coolant does mix with the hoses, and if you convert to any other fluid its a pita getting the old stuff, really gone. I honestly still have issues from time to time when the season change.Originally posted by wed3kim a douchebag to people and i don't even own a lambo. whats your point? we, douchbags, come in all sorts of shapes and colours.
