ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The best bar none in terms of price? Bisimoto, RMF, SMSP, and Hytech are probably the top 4
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

How many headers do you need, one header should be enough. Bisi has an amazing reputation for making great power out of NA engines.

DC is crap. Generic design, makes little power, has a bottleneck collector... only good for CA residents, because of the CARB EO number.

Try Y? This isn't a brand. The "tri y" header design is another name for the 4-2-1 design.
If you're talking about the Raceboy header, or whatever it goes by now... that's just a cheap knockoff of the HyTech design. I do not support companies that steal expensive engineering designs and call them their own!

RMF - Another thief. They use a stolen Bisimoto prototype and call it their own. The owner of RMF used to be Bisimoto's fabricator. When they parted ways, that guy started using the unfinished product. Is it good? Sure. It's a Bisimoto design. Is it better than a real Bisimoto header? No... because it's an unfinished design!

Bisimoto - One of the best.

SMSP - Another one of the best (I'm still torn between SMSP and Bisimoto)

HyTech - Also one of the best

Mugen - 'Nuff said. DEFINITELY one of the best... but probably more expensive than all your mods combined.

ESP - simple, unimpressive looking design, but the dyno shows that it makes power. The guys at ESP produce very high quality parts as well. It won't perform as well as the ones above, but you can get it at half the price.

Kamikaze makes a little power, but it is very poorly made.

I've heard Vibrant makes power as well, but I believe they're very hard to find anymore. Supposedly there's one with a 2.5" collector, which is the one you would want.

what mods do you have or plan on doing?
those are race headers named above. i could name a few exceptional ones.
you're in cali so you'll need a carb sticker. race headers do not come with those.

if you're building your motor then spring for the race header after learning the details of your motor set up.
the wrong header and motor set up will make you lose power.

Another good header is a hotshot header I had a lot of issues with it leaking but it was a nice free flowing design and had a 3 inch collector for those fully built engines

It really doesn't matter what you get, everyone is going to hail all to bisi.

I'm not bashing the guy, but i just dont have $600 to spend on a header. I took the cheaper route and bought the Kiddracing tri-y. Yeah...its a "stolen" design, but it still makes power.

Maybe one day ill be able to just have a sidewinder coming out of the front bumper..

$600 was for the group buy... for the F22A. The H22 group buy was more, and it is now over. Try $1200.

Supporting stolen designs will only drive the actual designers out of business, or at least out of our market. Once the knockoff makers finish strip-mining our market, they will stop making them too. Then we will have nothing but the cheap $50 shit you can find on ebay left!

If you want to make power, support the people that are putting the time, effort, and money into making the best possible products... not the assholes that buy one and then copy it with poor craftsmanship and low-grade materials.

As for Bisi's gasket... I'm sure his $1200 header doesn't come with a bargain-bin gasket!

i agree with this guy, if i was to get the tri-y header half price as the bisi and making the same power i would get it. i know its fcked up for bisi but if i could save myself some cash then ill be doing it, im also pretty sure that bisi is getting way more profit of the header from you.

You'd be hurting the scene far more than you'd be hurting the manufacturer when you buy a knockoff part. The manufacturer will abandon the platform as soon as cheapskates start buying the knockoff garbage. They'll be fine... it's us that will be shit out of luck!

Also, I'd rather pay $1200 for a header that's well made, than $600 for a header that's slapped together with crap steel. Build quality and workmanship means a hell of a lot!

It's the same concept as downloading music and then complaining when your favorite artist stops recording.

first part its true were the ones that would be loosing here..

yes but unfortunally not all people think like that, everyone wants to save money and go with the cheap stuff but again theres people that support the original stuff,

well if the artist stops recording means that he isnt that good to make people say ok im going to support him by buying his cd, but again people like the artist but still downloading his music..
