i recently bought my car wit a f22a6 in it, and swapped it out for a f22A1. but my check engine light came on. and im running rich in the 5000 to 6200 rpm range. i read up on it at the store and i got a 91 f22a6 02 sensor wit a 92 f22a1 motor. would the o2 sensor be the reason for this?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

f22a6 vs f22a1 o2 sensor

Pull the CEL code and it will tell you if it's the o2 sensor or not. Code 41 or 43 will be pointing to the o2 sensor.
The sensor itself is the same between engines. The difference is the length of wiring and the plugs. If the wires were extended or a new connector spliced on, the sensor's resistance may have been altered. What exhaust manifold is on the engine? Is it the F22A6 or F22A1 manifold.
As for running rich... I assume you know this by looking at an A/F meter? The narrowband sensors that we have in our cars don't really provide enough data to be useful with one of those gauges. They're not much more than a pretty light show.

I came upon this thread and made this account just to say you're an asshole, Deevergote. A self-righteous, elitist, know-it-all, snob. I hope you're more friendly and approachable in real life. Also, that you don't care about what people think about you in real life like you do on here...as I hope that "I'm a real son of a bitch" attitude only comes out when your fingers hit the keyboard.

When you did the swap, did you swap the ECU or the IM? The PT6 for the A6 has a more aggressive fuel map than the PT3 for the A1, so you're dumping more fuel into an engine that's not getting enough air to make that fuel useable, therefore a rich gas wasting car.
Throwaway - Deev owns the site, I have a feeling you're not going to be welcome here and that you also didn't read the site rules or anything else that would keep you from receiving a permanent ban. Deev's comments didn't warrant anything like the childish name calling and display of the very things you accused him of being. Good luck, you may have just screwed yourself off the best site for the 4th gen Accord and the F series and possibly the H series engine.
