ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

have you separated the lens from the housing ? if so use some good strong crazy glue, gorilla glue is good also .

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

silicone would work fine aslong as u heat up the housing and the old glue with the new glue fused together. should work fine.

When I did my headlights, I used the same copper silicone I used for my exhaust. I'll probably never get them apart again, but, meh, I don't need to.
Get a tube of 100% clear silicone and use that, let them cure for 24 hours and they'll be together forever. It's not affected by normal heat/cold temperatures (silicone can withstand temps over 600 degrees fahrenheit), it's clear, so it won't leave you with any ugliness, and after it cures, you can clean up any that leaked out very easily.

What happened to your metal clips that go around the headlight glass? I'm assuming they aren't there being that your glass came apart. If they were then your headlight woulda never came apart regardless if it was glued or not. But yeah if your missing them clips hit up the JY and get you some. With those clips the lens doesn't necessarily have to "glued in" just sealed and the clips hold it in.

Just so you know, the part I listed is what Nissan uses to seal the lights to body panels and such. Silicone works, but is permanent. Also, silicone can release fumes that stain the inside of the glass and the reflector surfaces. The sealant I am referring to is Butyl and seals really well.

I have been customizing headlights for years now, and know a thing or two about sealing them, as well as modding them. In the past I used silicone and learned the hard way by damaging a customers' projector in a retrofit by sealing with silicone. A guy on HID Planet turned me on to the Nissan sealant and I haven't looked back ever since. It works great on rear light housings as well.

Just call a Nissan dealer and give them the part number and you will see what I mean. Also, the link I provided is an online dealer that carries the sealant.
