My car was running good earlier, till I tried to turn it on a while ago. It wont crank, all I hear is a click. All lights work and I used my dad's truck to jump start it, but it still won't crank. I replaced the main relay a couple of months ago. Any thoughts? Starter perhaps?

Auto or 5speed?
If auto make sure its in park (seen more than one person make that mistake).

I would say it's the starter for sure, like PointBlank said "beating" on it will sometimes allow it to work, but it's not a permenant fix. If you hit the starter becareful of the wires because they like to spark. You can also try turning it over, over and over again, that sometimes works as well. Starters seem to give out in cold weather. You can either look in the junkyard for a starter or just buy a new one.

sounds like a starter you can hit it with a wrench or something and then try to turn it on if it comes on after that its your starter, hitting the starter to turn on your car will not work for long but you can do that until you get your hands on one there not expensive if you get a remanufactured one i paid $45 plus core exchange just 2months agoComment
