ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It's all in how you piece your engine parts together that will dictate whether or not it will perform well as a daily driven car. There are quite a few individual throttle body production cars on the streets. They don't have to be a 9-10K rpm track car.

The way I have pieced my setup together it is going to top out in the 8000 rpm range at the highest. They are build with daily driving and occasional track use in mind. They have 14" runners with a plenum and filter designed for mine. They aren't 8" long runners with no filters.

Its my first engine build and its what I'm going to school for too so I thought I take in what I learn and add it to my cb7. So I dont know how it will perform. I'm hoping for the best. But its going to be my daily driver when all said and done. I might also hit up the track for laughs and giggles. But that won't be that often.
My signature was removed because it was too big.

If your in school for automotive, you should hit up the books that cover performance engine building and tuned induction & exhaust systems.

Everything from the diameter & length of the runners, valve size, combustion chamber volume, bore and stroke, piston design, header primary and secondary size, all the way to the tip of your exhaust make a difference in how your engine works.

          thats badass!
i love itbs. though they are expensive.
to really enjoy your itb's if you do it. your gonna want more of an rpm range
so build the head. and have a well balanced bottom end.
if you know about ae86's look and research about their itb builds.
write and rewrite and rewrite again on a peice of paper how your gonna plan this out
problems that could pop up all the above.
Now that i'm in iraq... i finally have the time to do this to my ae86

          good luck

Any large mod such as adj. cam gears, cams, turbo, or ITB will require a tune for sure. There are few cars on the street with ITBs even though most are used for track use only. Get carp spone covers and xip ties to prevent rocks, flies, etc...

Concidering it is an OBX Product I would use another Fuel Rail(aem, skunk2, etc.) and any other product that is attatched to the main part of the ITBs'.

I finally made it into someones sig. Thnx Tillidie. lolz!

Wow, very impressive. Let's say you throw in a cam and a little head work then throw the ITB's on. What kind of gain just from the ITB's could you expect?

i hate to resurrect dead threads but there is no sense in making new ones and cluttering. im planning on doing obx itbs on my build soon and posting before and after dynos. itbs can be dd'd. all you need is a vacuum manifold and attatch your map sensor to there. im actually going to try an even more amazing feat than just itbs on a dd, im going to use cruise and ac. i want to prove it can be done. if an ae111 can do it a cb can too. i'll still be doin the 3" exhaust comparison but not the 3" vs 3.5" intake anymore, sorry guys.

nah bro, cisco (HondaFan81) is the pioneer. he is the one that inspired me before i even knew about bisi all that much. i do admit mine has more time on the street than his(hint hint, cisco get your ass in gear), lol. and man i hope they work out. i guarantee one thing, i will be the first to test the itb setup and post a sheet. im hoping to get my 3" exhaust soon so i can do that test.
