ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22a1 Questions

    I have a n F22a1.
Which it has I/h/e and a bisimoto cam.
I'm looking to swap either a prelude s ecu into it or swap the intake manifold to an a6 manifold with the a6 ecu.

What would I have to do fore the manifold swap, just hook up the IABs when I install it and which ecu is better.

So if I just swapped the ecu, what gains with each ecu, and would the I'M be worth swapping.

yes the IM is worth swapping. get the A6 runners with a H23/H22 upper. I think you need a PT6 for the IABS.

He's right, PT6 for the IABS pinout #17 12 volt from the fuse box to the top pin ground from the black box through firewall to the bottom pin.

Thanks for the replies you all.
So would I be looking at any significant gains?

definitely. the a6 with stacked iab plates and a h series upper is a nice upgrade.

Not significant so to speak, but better intake air flow at higher RPMs. A full a6 swap will only give you about 15hp.

I'd al think the A6 ecu will be nice considering it has a more aggressive tune.

Well considering the few mods I already have I'd imagine it'd be decent. Given the cams sucks more air and I have a good exhaust to push it put it'd be pretty decent plus the ecu, which would show noticeable gains I'm sure given the a1's ecu isn't as good as the a6's would be.

No stock ECU is going to give you the gains that you could get from a custom tune, given that Bisimoto cam.

The A1's ECU is just as "good" as the A6's ECU. They are different parts, for different engines.

Deev, I'm surprised you didn't recommend a p06 ecu and a tune considering the bisi cam and other parts; it's probably going to yield the best results.
