ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Rear Suspension Question.

i ran off the road 2 weeks ago. Thanks John Deer, Jane Doe. and i hit a rock. well needless to say it bent the rear wheel just barly enough to tell im still driving it. but when theres snow on the ground i can really feel it kick the straight wheel out. this is what i was wondering. what would the first thing to give on that suspension in the back. i dont think it would of bent the main hub set up. with how small and not thick the control arms are. im thinking the front lower control arm since thats the way its bent. would it of bent that main support peace that goes from next to the front control arm up towards the body. im not sure what its called but like a drag link that goes up on both sides. im wondering if i should replace both too see what happened.

Take it to an alignment shop and have them check it out. They will be able to tell you what is bent, usually for no charge, you can replace what's broken. Plus take it back because you'll need an alignment after.

Fortunately, the rear suspension setup is pretty simple, easy to replace, and rarely damaged in anything but an extreme case such as yours... so junkyard parts will be easy to find and good to use. At least I think CB9s have the same rears as CB7s (wagons are far less common in the junkyards!)

Do you have rear discs? This might be the time to convert if you don't.

no i dont have rear disks. but i did come across a set in the junkyard. but unfortunatlly im going to sell this one and try to find a wagon from the south. one with no rust or rust forming. thats why i just wanna get it fixed so i can sell.
