2.5 muffler

Hey just received a flowmaster exhaust with a tip but the inlet is 2.5 and i have a stock piping on mine. Is this going to be a problem? It came off a 01civic.

Won't be a problem, but truthfully, you'd do yourself some good in getting the whole cat back redone in 2.5

oh really i was looking to spend much becuse i got the muffker and tip for free and how much do you think it cost to get the piping and welding? if not the piping just welding>?

You won't gain anything but noise if you weld that muffler to your 1.75" piping. How much it will cost depends on where you have it done. We're not going to be doing it for you, so asking us is pointless. Call a muffler shop tomorrow and see what they say.

kteller.com has (or at least used to have...) pre-cut and pre-bent (mandrel bent) exhaust piping for our cars. Probably too much if you're concerned about the cost of a little welding, though.

I think a muffler shop can get your whole setup done for ~$300; cat, flexpipe, crush bent piping.

I paid $425 I think for my whole setup from a muffler shop... cat, piping, muffler (not flexpipe). So, remove the muffler from that equation, assume that I probably overpaid a bit, and $300 is probably a good estimate.

crush bent you might as well increase it .5" to compensate for all the nastiness it will create in flow.
