ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The F22 is really a better motor design than the F23.
Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.
If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

An f22a6 makes 140.
Not to mention but the only thing making the f23a1 better then the f22b1 is the 2.3 liters
You'd be making an f22b1
And to top it all off that motor isn't easy to swap. Get rid of it, flip it for profit.

The valve angle and port design are very restrictive in the SOHC VTEC F series. Power can be made, but a person should understand what they're getting into. Most just want cheap VTEC, and they don't understand that the SOHC F series VTEC is significantly different from the VTEC system found in the DOHC engines (for example, it's only on the intake valves.)
The F22Ax offers FAR more potential than the VTEC F series.

The only thing weak is the way it is ported to max torque for fuel economy.
The entire concept of Sohc Vtec is fuel economy, not power.
Its a reverse concept of Dohc Vtec.
Imagine an F22 Non Vtec (your current motor) Now add smaller valves with less lift/duration to that, then combine it with a map that injects less fuel (while vtec is not engaged)
The result is a more fuel efficient engine while Vtec is not engaged, and the same engine when Vtec is engaged.

There ARE 250+whp N/A F22B1s out there, I'm told... and I'm also told that the F23A1 head has a better design than the F22B1 (though still restrictive.)
They're not absolutely pointless, and I'd say they're not bad choices for a street turbo build... but ONLY if you know what you're getting into, and why. If it's just because "you wanna pop 'tec"... then look elsewhere.

At least he only bought the motor for $50. Sell it for like $250 to some guy with a CG with a blown headgasket or something. Then use the $200 you made to go get a tune up and a fresh tank of 93.'94 JDM H22A: 178whp 146wtq
