ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I think my Proportioning valve is leaking

I was able to reach down and snap this pic

I dried off the area, then stepped on the pedal and when I checked again new fluid leaked out, seems to come from that hole.
Is that hole supposed to be plugged up?

Also, how do I replace this part?
    TIA

It looks threaded, can't it just get it plugged up with a bolt?
I don't have anyone to look for me while I press the pedal but that hole seems like the culprit if it was supposed to be plugged up.
Also, I moved recently and don't have access to my haynes, can anyone post up directions?

sorry for bringing up an old thread, but i recently changed mine out with one from the yard... about 3 months ago worked fine but now i just did my brakes and changed out my caliper and once i finished bleeding it i noticed i started leaking from that middle hole ( which has like a little black button ) does that mean this one took a dump to? plus who else carries a replacement? i just called honda and they want 250$ for a new one :'(

When u put the new one in did u swap the mounting bracket from the other one on if it wasn't accord > accord? If it was a 40/40 from a da u have to swap the accord mounting bracket over. If u did this it did u have the valve clamped down in a table vice? If not the valve like to spring open.

And ur immediate seal that it used to have is now interrupted. And possibly leaking due to that. Check the tightness of the fittings going into it before removing it for another. Using a brakeline wrench.

Yeah, there's supposed to be a very small rubber cap there, just don't ask me how the rubber holds the pressure back!
