ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Car Stolen, Now Recovered, Now Problems....

so my car was stolen last week and the cops recently found it and i got it back. minus all my tools and cd player and speakers and $4 or so worth of change in my car.

so basically they just jammed a screwdriver in the ignition and forced it to turn. so the ignition switch is broken but with some finesse and the door key i can get it to turn the cylinder to get it to start and turn off. that is at least functional. to my knowledge that is all that they did. they did not break any locks or windows or anything else that i know of.

the problem(s) i am now having is that my parking brake light is on and will not go off. the seat belt light used to stay on too but that just went off and has not come back on. also my blower motor for my a/c and heat is not working. when i put the a/c on and turn the knob i can feel the compressor come on and slow the car a bit but no air blows out. missing the knob so i cant turn it to heat.

    any ideas would help. thanks

check the cap on the brake fluid reservoir. if the cap isn't on good or if the level is low, the light can come on.

i would also start by doing a fuse check for the blower motor. later.

        1) buy a alarm system.
        2) knobs can be picked up at a local JY
3)check wires going to blower motor
4)get a new ignition set up. maybe a JY column.
that suck , but glad they found her for ya. good luck.

My cold to hot knob is broken as well. Under the passenger side dash there is what feels like a bent thin bar up close to the center area. You should be able to push/pull it to switch from hot to cold... anyways thats how i change the temperature. Hope that helps.

I would get the brake light issue figured out first. They probably ran the f**k out of it and were hitting the brakes hard. Second i would get an alarm installed, most places install them for like $99. The blower motor is probably just a blown fuse. Glad ya got it back bro, it could be worse like a torched wreck. BTW the $4 in change was funny as hell, the shit happen to me! And alvarado would that work in a stick?
