ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    get it tuned....

    eCtune
    Neptune
    Crome.
    Pick one.

I made 620 WHP on Crome for over 2 years.. Not only is it free, It will do EVERYTHING youd need.

eCtune and Neptune are both VERY solid. I run eCtune now. Its really nice and EVERYTHING works well... Obviously LOL.

    Fuck Derek
    Fuck Doug
    and FUCK Hondata....

Not to that this matters but the boost control eats a dick in it too. Let alone wat those ***s tried to do to Blundell and the entire DIY tuning community

You don't need to buy a pre-modified computer. Buy a bone stock P28 (from a 92-95 Civic EX) and have it modified. Then you can tune your car with any of those programs mentioned.

Now, your H22 has 2 cams... I hope you're upgrading both! If you get a mild grind, the car should still run well enough on the stock ECU. Most "Stage 1" cams from reputable companies are mild enough. Most "Stage 2" cams will still probably run with the stock ECU, but not very well (and this is where you'll definitely need that valvetrain upgrade.)
Either way, you'll get the most out of the cam upgrade with a proper tune.

if you want more power get rid of the p13, maybe after the tune, u'll get the power u where looking for, also after the cams u should tune again

He's already getting the cams. He's asking if he should tune for them. The thread is about the cams, not the tune.

Actually, since the P13 runs rich, it might work BETTER with bigger cams.

Install cams.. Chip ecu when you can, then tune.

So i understand get cam chip ecu and tune. So stay with the p13 or go with a p28? p13 should work fine if i chip it right? basically the same thing when chipped....

                  You cannot tune a P13. You need a P28 or P72.
You cannot run either the P28 or P72 stock, so you must chip and tune to run one.

Therefore, install your cams, use the P13, and get a tunable ECU when you can afford it.

I second that answer. The only thing is, depending on what cams you are getting (how big) , your car will run rough until you get a different ecu and tune it. skunk2 for example i think says their tuner stage 1 cams can be run stock. stage 2 would be rough idle and you should get tuned but will work and stage 3 you certainly need a tune.

for my setup i decided to get a P06 with hondata before most of my mods
                    just my 2 cents

For an H22, a P06 would essentially need to be turned into a P28. It can be done.
Hondata is overpriced and underfeatured compared to some of the better options out there.
