ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    h22a internal coil issues?!

My cb has been sitting for a few months now due to suspension upgrades(finally got it done today) but when I went to start it and let it run it had a little hiccup to it, I'm going to do a tune up with NGK Laser Platinums, and NGK wires, I was looking into an MSD coil, however my coil is INTERNAL, and I was wondering could I set something up with the that or if I have to have an external coil to use an MSD coil? Anyways I'm completly lost and was wondering if anyone has found ways to turn this situation around Thanks in advance!!

There are no benefits to be had from the MSD coil. The stock ignition system is good up to 500hp (or higher). You'll be wasting your money, and introducing a number of potential problems by converting (remember, the more you alter your car, the more variables you introduce for failure!)

Damn... I just remembered I was supposed to be working on the car in that link today...

Quick question for you deeve, a friend of mine was telling me that I could remove what he called the "butterflies" from under the intake manifold, and it would give me better throttle response and so on. I wasn't too fond of the idea for 2 reasons, one it just sounds like I'll end up messing something up, and 2 I'm looking to possibly upgrade to a skunk2 intake manifold. Whats your say on it?

              This might help...http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...&highlight=IAB

The IAB plate with butterflies are a functional part of the intake that will increase the airflow through the runners at a certain RPM, given that its being actuated properly.

This thread also explains it thoroughly...http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=88154

Although you may have to do some reading to find what you're looking for. I personally read the entire thread and found it very useful.
