ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Nothing in my interior is working.

I took my dash out to fix my blower, and I finally put it back in today(I drove around dashless for about a week). Now nothing that was related to my dash works. No cluster, no odometer, no clock, no radio(even though the lights went on for a second when I plugged it in), no dahlights when the lights are on, no turn signals. The only thing that does work related to my dash is the heat, and the high beam light on the cluster. My gas gauge is showing past full and I know it was around half when I took it out(so I know its way below that now).

Anyone have any idea what it could be? I made sure all the plugs were plugged in, and checked all relevant fuses.

I hate to say it, but you're going to have to get back behind there and check out all your connections again, even the ones (probably especially) going through the firewall.

Yea, it's obvious you missed something on the reassembly. Go over it again a few times with service manual in hand. If you still can not find, get a friend to look to get a different perspective.

also make sure that you check the grounding boxes. my civic had that problem and that happened to be what fixed it.

ya, i figured I missed something and needed to take it out again since its a bunch of things all not working. From what I remember there are the 3 plugs right in the middle and then two on the drivers side to the left of the steering collumn.

I was just curious if there was a plug that connected all of those things.

            Got it.

There are actually 3 plugs by the drivers side. There is a long gray plug that goes in the fusebox, next to the brown plug and it was pushed up into the dash so I couldnt see it when I first installed it.

Good job you found it fast.

Incidentally, if anyone else has a blower motor not working, try this: take the front grille off the blower assembly (it's just below the glove compartment), which will expose the front blower motor duct vent. Then put the air recirc button on to "recirculate", which will cause the front flap of the blower motor vent to open. You will hear a motor opening the flap for about 3 seconds (and can view it open with a flashlight if you crouch down below the glove compartment). Now, make sure your fan switch is in the "off" position and reach in with your hand to the blower motor wheel through that open front blower motor flap. The fan blade is like a water wheel shape. You can now turn the blower motor fan blades by hand to a new position.

Now take your hand out and turn the fan switch on. Voila, most likely the motor is now working because you put it on a different spot in the partially burnt-out armature.

This is a hell of a lot faster than replacing the blower motor in my opinion.

I can do it from the driver's seat with my seatbelt off stopped by the side of the road, using just my right hand.
