ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

You can't just smack the nearest warm, wet spot on an engine with your ratchet and hope to fix a coolant leak.

it could be the rubber o-ring(19 on left) from the metal water pipe going into the water pump

the actual water pump gasket(2), not as likely but possible

or even the return heater hose(E-15-1 left one above, #18 on the picture below) on the driver side going into the metal water pipe

oh wait i forgot about the oil cooler on some models

it could also be 13 or 14 in the picture above (not so much on the drivers side but a possibility)

Well first off I am sorry and will remember this for when I post in the future.

Second, I have pics and a vid I'm going to post when I get to my desktop but I crawled under and had a look at things, I seen a plastic black hose runnin across the back of the block seemed to be fine but I'm thinking could it be leaking from where it goes into the driverside... more toward the driverside of the hose there was a smaller hose coming off of the bigger one that too seemed fine as well...

As mentioned, Honda headgaskets do not typically fail due to the gasket itself. It is usually lack of coolant system maintenance that leads to engine overheating and then the headgasket goes. They are quality multi-layered steel units.

Check coolant hoses before doing headgasket, it will save you much time and money with a more than likely unnecessary HG repair.

Anyhow, driver side back of engine leak could be:

            - water pump seepage
            - heater hose coming out of water pipe into heater core
            - water pipe O-ring connecting into water pump

Just for sake of conversatio, update: I think it was the water pump afterall or atleast I would hope... I still do have a few questions...

I got everything torn apart right now, but I need know the proper steps to replaces that #19 o-ring because I do think this had a bit to do with the leak.

I feel like an ass to ask but is there a how-to on how to properly put the t-belts back together in place and in time? Because I think its outta time as well from when I replaced the heater hose under the distributor because I had to remove the distributor to replace the hose and when I put everything together and started it up it ran like poop... but all leaking aside it did run fine...

You have to get the crank and cam gear in perfect TDC.Way to do this is theres a mark on the block to line the grove up with the crank pulley mark. As for the cam timing theres an up mark on the cam gear make sure its straight up(it say UP).If you dont have a timing light this could be a trail and error type deal. The crank TDC isnt bad at all but to get the cam gear in time can be a hasule somtimes.Way ive allways done it is the old dip stick or screw drive test to make sure number 1 piston is at TDC it will be all the way up and you will fill it.Also make sure you get the timing belt tight.Much easier to do than explain and if i didnt make it clear im sure theres a write up out there for timing hondas.Hope this helps.

Ok now that I have a three day weekend in front of my I want to finish the car... In my top pic I still cant figure out how to put that o-ring in there... And the water pump was a factor in this leak, because compared to the new water pump the old one its pully seem real loose...

Alright now that I am feelin better I went to the garage to try and work on this... I changed both o-rings the o-ring on the waterpump side seemed to be a bit worn, so I'm going to put the new WP on and also try to put it in time lol and fire it up and check for leaks...
