ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Too build the strongest f22a6 I need..... ???

    Hey fellow CB7'ERS.
Well my 92ex is 3 months from me starting to build a new engine.
    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=164614

The engine in it now runs great, but is at almost 260,000 miles
So after much research and self debate I have decided to stick with the F22A6.
    Sorry h22 fans.
I will be starting with a clean block and nothing else.
I am spending hours researching the different internals, but think I need some other input.
So what would you do If you built an f22a6 from the ground up?
To be a daily driver and run it hard all the time, because that's how I drive.
As well as boosting it a couple years down the road when I can afford a proper Turbo.

    What timing belt,
    tensioner,
    Pistons,
    Rods,
    Rings,
    Mains,
    Ect.

Please some feed back on what your experience is and what's the best.
This is a build that will start in February.
    And I am very serious.

    Thanks for the help.

Yeah I would like to boost in the not near future.
And I am not at all disappointed with the f22a6's performance.
I could just get an h22 hear in Dallas for 800.00
But, I want to go allot further.
And I can imagine my little F22A6 new, its a great engine.
So again, all the best guts for my f22a6 guys.

Also, since I have more aggressive cam and valve springs already, do I need to upgrade to prformance parts on those?
And again, I drive my car hard everyday, and want too with no issues.

If you want to see what a serious build can do, check out HondaFan81's "White" project. If you want to pull NA performance from your F22A6, that is the ideal example.

However, if you want boost, building your engine for that now is going to result in a very sluggish, powerless engine. Turbo engines are best with low compression, and little valve overlap... NA performance is the exact opposite.

id run a stock cylinder head before you go turbo because once you do, you should consider getting a performance valve job, port work, cam and stiffer springs but all of that will reduce the life of the motor. theres a reason why honda engines last so long and it is because the engine itself doesnt wear out.

            Thanks Deev.
You knew just what I was looking for
I have been stuck reading and surfing for hours now off HondaFan81's Build
It'll take me awhile to get through all the options now.

I have allot of work to do just to be ready to start purchasing in the next few months.
            Thanks again.

Just be sure to plan according to your desired end result. Then follow that plan. Don't deviate from it. That's a lesson that HondaFan81 personally hammered into my head. Don't be one of those schmucks that goes out and buys a supercharger, a nitrous kit, arranges a deal for a discount on a Bisimoto N/A header, and talks an old friend into offering a VERY reasonable price for a full turbo kit (and then running out of money and not buying said kit...)

...not that I know anyone like that... (*looks down at the supercharger sitting on the floor at my feet...*)

Lol, It could happen to any of us.
                More than not I imagine.

No, I am going to tear down to the block and that will be where I start.
Nice and slow, come in have a bear and tinker. "No Hurry"
You can't rush something like what I want.

Seems no easy blueprint to have done before I start though,
And that's sort of the reason for the post.
Just going to have to be patient and innovative on the whole deal

That's a great part of using the site.
Too avoid the mistakes I would otherwise so easily make.

I love the pic You've been using... I have four kids, two at home.. lol

if you want to do turbo, contact randy at bisimoto and get all parts from them do a 1.2 cam
                  arais pistons (9.1)
                  bisi rods
                  bisi head build
                  obx lsd

you will be at 170hp give or take a few hp. after your build and STILL be able to turbo later

also you might want to think about nitrous, its fun, safe if you do it right. and it has excellent response time. something to think about.
