ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Turbo!!

I really don't know about which turbo is good or not, or from what website, but I found this turbo on eBay and I'm not sure if this is a good one since it is from eBay. Also would this be okay to be in a f22a and f22b automatic. LMK what y'all think! =)

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they use JDM to describe a turbo kit then that is your first clue that it's crap....

You obviously need to do some research and get familiar with at least the basics of turbo systems first before even considering buying a kit. I suggest you read the stickys on this forum, read turbo builds, read magazines, articles online, ask….. And if you don’t know what a part does then I suggest you research each and every part. Just do some real homework.

Go through the MRTs and see what guys who have experience with turbos run on their cars.

Read what the top tuning shops builds entail, then you will get a clearer understanding of what a real system should look like. Go to top manufacturers of turbo system websites, many have their own forums and a lot of available info there for the consumer. Go on youtube and view videos on the workings of a system.

      I suggest buying two books:

      Maximum Boost by Corky Bell
      and
Honda/Acura Engine Performance by Mike Kojima

Read through them very carefully. You will understand the basics of turbocharging, at the very least. If you don't even know what you're looking at in terms of the turbo itself, then you have a LOT to learn before you should even consider putting one on your car. It is very easy to do serious damage to your car if you don't know what you're doing. Especially on a 20 year old engine!

Both can be found used as well, I'm sure.
I have both. I have read both. People come to me for turbo advice constantly, because they believe I know a whole lot. I have never built a turbo engine in my life. EVERYTHNG that I know about turbo comes from those books, and the pages of this website.
Honestly, aside from a few installation details, I feel confident that I COULD build a turbo engine with ease based on the research I've done. Everything I know is at your disposal in the form of those books and this website. The rest is experience.
