power steering help?

ok well here's the problem, to me it feels like my power steering isnt working, because i drove my friends cb7 the other day and i noticed his turning and stuff were alot smoother than mine, but the problem is there doesnt seem to be any leak or anything at all, i just check the power steering liquid and everything seem fine, any idea's? Maybe its just his car is different or something. I dont know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

are you both running the same size wheels? if you happen to have a significantly lower offset and/or wider wheel than him, then your scrub radius is what is making it hard to turn.

if you are on stock wheels, you might check the steering rack or the pump.

well our cars are basically the same, except hes got some 17's on his and i got 16's.

Try bleeding the system? Maybe it's got air bubbles from its last service.

probably power steering pump is going wrong.

Go thru the lines and by that I mean follow the main line to the rack. At the end of the main line there is a fitting that goes on the rack itself, check for leaks there and check for cracked hoses.

And also take into account how many miles are on the car. You'd be surprised that many people who just drive cars tend to over look the steering system service.

Overtime you can get debris from the rack due to wear and tear. Do a complete flush and put fresh fluid in it.

Oh and yeah and just for next time, be CLEAR about the problem, your description is a bit vague.

alright thanks guys, i'll try bleeding it all out again and see how it goes and i'll also look for leaks, but last time i check there wasnt, but maybe it different this time. And sorry i'll try to make it more clear next time.
