ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

91 Accord SE 4door Automatic brake light that comes on intermittent….

Hello to all 1st and foremost thanks to all that helped out with my previous inquiries on the site. I need some more help now as I am chasing a ghost here that Is what I feel like. I have a brake warning light that comes on only when the car is sitting in the sun for a while and then goes off after I drive the car then remove the key and then restart the car. This warning light usually means there is a bulb burned out but obviously I have a short as I have already replaced all the bulbs in the rear of the car. Also I will add that all the lights are working fine in the rear of the car as I saw them working when someone else used the brakes for a test. I am at a loss here on what to check next and what could be wrong seeing that I have already troubleshooted a lot of things. I believe this to be model specific as I owned other 90 accords (2 door) and this never happened before. I am sure there must be someone on these forums with the same/similar problem on the same year/model Honda. Hence why I am typing here and if so can someone please advise me why this is happening and what can be done to fix this problem. I also might add there is a strange looking computer box with 2 lights in the back trunk on the passengers side. I don’t know what it is or what it does? I am wondering if this control box could be connected to my problem. Please advise me if anyone on here knows anything. Since the problem only occurs for a short while and then goes away it is very hard for me to trace/find any short in the car or where it might be. Does anyone on here know if these accords were prone to have shorts in the rear of the cars wiring? If so where is the short as that could be my problem? Thanks for your help on here look forward to hearing from some of you.

The light that says "brake" is telling you that your emergency brake is on. Something needs to be adjusted, or a sensor replaced. Seeing as you have an automatic, I assume that you don't use the emergency brake very often (I know I never did when I drove automatics... with a manual, it's necessary.)

It should be a fairly easy thing to fix.

That box in the back, if it's what I am thinking, should be an amplifier. Part of your sound system. I believe the SE has a Bose system, and has an external amp in the back. I may be wrong, as I've never actually owned an SE... if you can take a picture of that box, it'd help us identify it if it's something else.

Are you talking about the BRAKE light that comes on for low fluid/parking brake

Or the BRAKE LAMP light which is in the bottom right of the gauge cluster and comes on to warn you of a faulty brake bulb?

Also the box on the right side of your trunk is for the ABS

Ah, ABS... yet another thing I've never had in a CB! I thought all ABS controls were located up front, though... no?

The abs reservoir and accumulator and all that stuff are under the hood

The actual computer for the abs is bolted to the rear right side of the trunk

The bose amp your thinking of only came on 1993 se's and was under the rear deck on the left side, you would need to get down on your back and look up to see it.
