ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I repaced all fuses too. ??? help
Would you rather have a bunch of posts telling you they can't help you?

Here's the best advice I can give you. CHECK IT ALL OVER COMPLETELY.

If it was fine before, and everything is the same, it should start. If it doesn't, you've missed something.

And buy an alarm. Even a cheap POS $30 alarm will deter thieves as much as anything. If they want it bad enough, they'll take it.

    Good luck.

YOU POSTED THAT THREAD A 4 O'CLOCK IN THE FUCKING MORNING! Of course nobody even looked at it!

You also gave very little helpful information in your other thread. You said you pulled fuses. You said you smell fuel. You asked about the wire order, but didn't mention removing the wires... so why even ask?

Yes, we're talking about comparing motors... because there are 26,559 members on this site other than you. Yes, we don't instantly focus on your problems when you do something stupid. Most of us are sleeping at that time, honestly.

You smell fuel, so that's ruled out. Check for spark. If you don't have spark, check all electrical connections... battery cables, grounds... Verify that you put the correct fuses back, and that they aren't blown. Then look into replacing your ignition coil and ignitor.

The next time I see a "I posted a few minutes ago and nobody helped me you guys suck!" thread from you, I'll simply ban you. That is quite disrespectful to the people that you are asking to help you.

        Not starting

Thanks for all the advice. I plan on getting various 'kill' switches too.... I just got impatient. I apoogize. I really needed to get this car going to be someplace at 8:00 a.m.. I'm just mad at myself for getting into this mess. The firing order is correct, I'll recheck the fuses. It was running fine before I started pulling stuff and disconnecting things. I outsmarted myself !!

retrace what you did then. If it ran before, you disconnected things, and it doesnt run anymore, then whatever you did messed it up.

i was sleeping at 4 am too.

like what has been said in earlier posts, recheck all your wiring and buy an alarm AND a physical steering wheel lock. the wheel lock has prevented my cb from being stolen for 5 years now

OP: cylinder number one is the opposite what you wrote (or I misunderstood what you wrote): it is furthest to the right while you are standing in front of the car facing the engine.

cylinder number 2 is right next to it.

                etc on to cyl 4

                __________
distributor spark order is as stated by you and also restated above. spark plug one dist spark is the spark tower that is in the front of the distributor and somewhat close to 5 o'clock if you are looking at the dist from the passenger side fender. the other spark plug wires follow clockwise.

Make sure your primary ignition voltage connector is hooked up and your secondary as well.

A quick way to go with the kill switch idea might be to get a faulty main fuse and install that when you are parked in a bad area. If you don't have a faulty main fuse you can make one by blowing it yourself. just connect it terminal to terminal to the battery with a decent gauge wire and it will burn out in about .2 milliseconds.

Course if you are in a bad area you might have occasion to get in your car and drive away quickly and so the dedicated kill switch is a better idea--although a real car thief will be able to find it unless you put it someplace really weird like in the trunk or something.

                    Could be either one.
Since you still havn't stated what you "Pulled and disconnected" It could be anything.

'deever' stated in this other thread the reason for no spark is most likely ignitor or coil, i will check both of those. I'm still going to triple check my fuses, as the coil/ignitor problem would be a coincedence. Thanks

Ignitor, coil, and battery connections are the primary reasons for no spark. After that, a bad distributor.
