Hey, guys i have another problem. i was driving and i seen my check engine oil light start blinking. i pulled over ASAP and checked my oil level and it was little lower than full. Now everytime i start my car the light comes on. i checked for leaks,pressure and it was fine. is this common in h22?

Hmm, check oil pressure switch, also check you timing belt....

Likely a bad oil pressure sending unit or just a faulty connection to the sending unit, since you say you've tested the pressure with a gauge. Or you're losing a lot of oil out the crankshaft seal but you would have noticed that I'm sure.Comment

Is it your check engine light, or your oil light? It makes a difference, and your're not being very clear.

FYI that is a low oil pressure indicator, not a check oil light. Although I guess if you are thinking really broadly you could also consider it a check oil light or a "something's up with the oil" light, if you are a person who thinks of checking both the oil level and the oil pressure.Originally posted by Drifting in 808 View Post
you are saying it only blinks when you are moving forward but not at stationary idle, right? I'm guessing it's blinking because of road vibration and a faulty electrical connection to the oil pressure sending unit. How about if the car is stationary and you are in neutral and you bring the rpms up to say 2000 or 3000?Comment

Im runing 5w30 in the atm. I had a friend with a h22 that was taken apart and i bought a sensor off him for 5 bucks. i changed my connection and the light doesnt blink anymore. thanks all for your help!Comment
