ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Tire mount options?

I bought a set (4) of cd5 7 spoke rims in FAIR condition. They have tires w/65% tread or so. 3 are 185/65/15 and one is 195. Which makes my alignement bad. Since I have the 195 paird with a 185 in the front. Im sure if I put the 195 in the back, it will fix that but it will eat alot of freaken tire tread.

My OEM 90-91 wheels still have good tires 90% or so. I bought them about 2 months ago.

I was wondering can I have a place take off the tires from the cd5 and mount the ones from my oem on them for cheap? I know this is possible, just where is cheapest?

185 and 195 is the width in mm

the second number is a percentage

for one, put the oddball on the BACK PASSENGER SIDE for it to be little to no factor, your alignment isn't gonna suffer.

when you get in your car, you change the camber and 99.9999999% shops don't account for that, a 170lb person can change the camber in a 2500lb car by .5 degrees in the front, FAR MORE than a slightly taller tire will.

as for price, call and ask, tell them you want to dismount a set of tires from some loose wheels and put them on the wheels on your car.

it will usually run anywhere from $10-$20 per wheel, if you can find somewhere to do it for $40-$50 total, you've done good.

it will also cost more to have all 8 mounted and dismounted vs having 8 dismounted and 4 mounted, and if you have no plans to keep your oddball cd5 set of tires, then you'll usually have to pay $2-$3 per tire to dispose of them

it depends on the shop, call around
....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.

Thanks, I will do what you said and put it in the back passenger side. The tires (185) still has a bit of tread to go, I might just buy a new tire for the 195.

but until then, your option should work.
