ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    exaust question

    hello all!
i am new to the cb7tuner world but a preludepower veteran.
i have recently purchased my first cb7 and am very excited to get to start with the slow modding process. i am looking for opinions on some exaust for the car. mine has rotted and rusted out completely and i will be replacing the header downpipe and catback. (theyve all shit out on me) so i was hoping to find some good options and reccomendations from you guys. im going to go with the cheapest header i can find since i plan to swap in a h bomb next summer but for now i just want it to quiet its ass down. so thank you in advance for your opinions and help!

ebay is the place to go for cheapness.. their headers and catbacks are alright, chop the huge round muffler off and put a nice performance oval muffler I have a ractive muffler welded on the end of my ebay exhaust it sounds pretty nice

If the header and downpipe are rotting, then a cheapie header will be a good replacement (though I'd get good gaskets, as the cheap ones often leak.) If your header and downpipe are fine, don't waste your money. There's no real gains to be had with a cheap header.

Exhaust, I'd invest in something good, as you can use it with the H22 as well. The Apexi World Sport 2 is one of the best sounding exhausts for our cars. That would be my choice.

cheap is def what im going for. i can replace it later with something better. but for now im poor and still trying to finish my turbo build on my 3rd gen prelude. the downpipe on the accord is fried so its time to replace. and a e*** header is cheaper than a oe replacement part. what would in your opinions be the best cheap exaust. 3" would be nice but not a must. 2.25 or 2.5 is fine. stainless pref so its never an issue again. i live in chi and the salt here eats everything.
        thanks for all your help!

ok heres wat i tell ppl who was a quiet muffler setup.... your best bet man is to get a n1 style exHaust from the cat back, thats a direct bolt on... and its 2.5 inch.

you can alwaysssss replace the buffler itself with a quieter one thats aftermarket, cut and weld.

My only issue is the stock piping is smaller than what you want to run on the H. I would just get a cheap muffler to put on there until the swap then change the piping to 2.5" and get a nice muffler, header and cat all at once. Cause if you get an Apex-i WS2 exhaust for 2.25" now and then get an H and want to run 2.5" then you just wasted your money.

WS2 or Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper...they are not huge dookie pipes and they sound good.

thanks for all the help guys. is there a for sale or wanted section on here? this forum is set up a little different than the one im used to. i think im going to go with a 2.5 in anticipation of the h deucy. probably a cheapo for now and when i get a nicer motor in there i can throw on a nicer muffler. the header is must for now as my flex pipe is in two pieces and the whole ebay header is cheaper than just the oe downpipe. sad huh? thanks for welcoming me to the site so nicely!

Agreed with what they all said ^^ . Good luck with the car d00d.

(Crazy that I have people come up to me surprised that I'm modding a 93 accord (because of its age), yet there are still people just starting to mod these cars. Goes to show what a great car they are!)
