ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22B DOHC N/A Rebuild

Who on this forum has the highest HP for a N/A F22B DOHC

reason im asking is my F22B is being rebuilt as we speak with 11:1 compression pistons, the head is being shaved so in the end it will have a little higher then that. also getting the balancer shaft deleted.
the head is a h23 head, its recieving a hot tank bath, 5 angle valve job and new seals.

the cost is at 2858.57(i didnt list everything that is being done)

Im coming across about 6 grand soon, and am trying to put together a parts list too squeeze as much N/A power out of this engine as possible.

heres what i have in mind for now.

Skunk 2 Light weight cam gears
    Delta stage 2 N/A camshafts
stage 2 KMS valve train rebuild kit w/ block gaurd
Blacktrax modified stock h23 IM with spacer.
    sikky Heat resistant IM gasket
    Blox 68 mm TB
    Precision 400cc injectors
    walbro 255lph fuel pump
    Chipped p28 tuned with s100

What do you guys think i should expect in terms of HP if i added these things. and if its possible could you point me in the direction of some some other N/A builds, F22B DOHC or not. just so i can compare.

What do you need a P28 for? You don't need a VTEC-capable ECU. A P06 will do just fine... and you also don't NEED to go with Hondata. It's not bad, but one of the free or cheaper programs will work just fine for your mild plans.

The fuel upgrades (injectors and pump) MIGHT be overkill...

Block guards warp cylinder walls. There's no need for it.

Delta doesn't have "stages". What grind are you talking about?

you can save a few bucks if you get iab plate and double stack it instead of buyina blacktraxx one.

      just saying.

I see said the blind man......

I'm sorry i mean crower camshafts. and aparently i got the that wrong too, its the Stage 1
        62481-2
        Stage 1
Street use with emphasis on bottom end and mid range power.
Works with stock springs up to factory rev limiter.
        RPM Range: Idle to 7000+
        Int- 245
        Exh-251 Int- 193
        Exh-198 Int- 440
        Exh-422

the Block guard comes with the kit, since you said it warps the cyl walls, i wont use it.

what reason would the fuel upgrades be overkill i figured it would be needed because of the intake upgrades and the higher compression in the cylinders, and it would give them more room to mess with the air/fuel when tuning wouldn't it

the reason for the p28 is because the shop im getting the work and tuning done at, that is what they provide as the ECU they chip and tune. and they will only work with hondata so i dont have a choice with using a free/cheeper software.

          @f20a

The Blacktrax spacer comes with there modded IM so its included in the price. the modded IM that they have actually deletes the IABs

edit- they do offer one with IABs and a spacer also.

Ah, ok. I guess that makes sense on the ECU... still, if the shop only knows P28s, I don't know if I'd trust them to tune your hybrid non-vtec motor...

The fuel mods... I'd check with the shop. I initially said they were completely needless, and edited my post. I didn't notice the compression increase right away. It MIGHT be necessary... I'm not 100% sure. It probably won't hurt to upgrade anyway. Disregard that part of my last post!

The Blacktrax spacer is also a heat blocker, I believe. Better than the IAB plate. It IS a better option.

              Thanks Dev.

I am shooting for 220-240 range. So im going to go hard on the build when i get the money.
It's not thats all they know is p28s it just all they have readily available, this shop is one of the most reputable on the east cost, the guy that owns it has had his 370 in import magazine, and has built a couple of cars that have grace its pages also, maybe you have heard of it, if not check them out.

JE Import Performance http://www.jeimportperformance.com/ These guys really know there stuff. They are expensive as all hell though.
