ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Sh Motor

Could a SH MOTOR easily drop into my 93 accord ex? But not only tht is a rebuilt motor. What do y'all think for 1,000 complete. Let me know before I purchase it thanks.

I've heard that there will be some difficulty. I know for sure the SH transmission can't be used, but just recently read that there's something about the motor that makes it a problem to install.

Seems a lot of people here are running the H22A4. Hopefully one of them will chime in.

H22A4 is the code for all 5th gen H22s though, isn't it? Not just the SH.
I could be wrong. I just woke up...

I have the SH. no problems at all. maybe some different wiring, due to the h22a4 (which can be the base model or sh) being OBD2.

If the h22a4 is the base model, the oil filter will be located were it should be (in the middle)

If the H22a4 is the SH model, the oil filter will be located on the left side of the back of the block, kinda next to the timing belt.

And for $1000? make sure the vin numbers match and make sure that it is the SH model. and also make sure it says h22a4 on the block stamp code.

Cool. I was hoping for someone with actual experience! I knew the oil filter was in a different place, but wasn't sure if that caused issues.

The ATTS transmission from the SH cannot be used without major modification to your car, but the engine can.

Any transmission will bolt up from an H22/H23/F22. H22 trans or H23 trans are ideal to use, though. The F22 transmissions bolt up but it wouldn't make sense to use them, since the gearing is spaced or taller, if you will.
