Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Can I Use the Car Alarm/Starter from my Auto in my Manual CB7?

    Hey all,

    I was curious if I can take the car starter alarm from my auto 93 accord and put it in my standard? Or what do I need to make it work? Would you recommend just getting a new starter put in?

    Yep, it can be used. Are you wanting to use the remote start? Or just the alarm?

      I'd like to use both if possible. I have a compustart alarm in my auto that I'm taking all the good parts from, and I just cut everything out.

      my neighbour said I need something like a neutral kill or something because I'm putting it into a standard?

        Yeah, it's so if you leave your car in gear, it won't lunge forward, trust me, it happens. And I believe it's also so if you don't have the park break set, it won't start. It's not recommended that you use remote start on a manual, since you have to bypass the clutch safety switch.

          okay, well i'll just use the alarm. i don't plan on using my cb7 in the winter anyway, so there is really no need to start it remotely.

            This. Otherwise, you'll forget and leave it in gear and when you start your car itll end up crashing through a wall or into a tree, lol.

              Hey all,

              So the install went really great, alarm arms, locks and unlocks the doors, just doesn't start. thanks for the advice!

                how hard was it to install the alarm and keyless?

                cuz im mainly wanting keyless on my accord
