ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

ok i will post again let me try one more time i have a 1993 accord and i want to put headers/flex pipe/cat and then run a straight pipe from there to the stock muffler good idea??

i had the full exhaust to stock muffler on my 91 coupe and the muffler sounded like a bb rattling in a canteen. It sounded terrible. I drove it like that for a day then got a aftermarket muffler to put on. Just my opinion

      It's one header, not headers.
Straight pipe to the muffler will sound like shit. Loud and raspy and will probably get you pulled over. Put a resonator on it to quiet it down.

also almost any aftermarket header has the same tubular design and will flow just the same as the stock f22a4 header. The bisimoto header is the only one that will give significant power and will outperform the a4 header

Aftermarket headers will offer some gain over the A4 piece, but not enough to justify a high price.

Anyway, please clarify what you mean by a "straight pipe". Do you mean a pipe with no resonators, or are you imagining a literal straight pipe with no bends from the cat to the muffler?
A resonator-less pipe will indeed be loud. I had that on my car, before my girlfriend couldn't stand it anymore... she dragged me to a shop to have a resonator installed for my birthday.

A perfectly straight pipe will require some custom work just to hang it, and it will most likely have to hang very low to clear everything. The exhaust tunnel in your car is part of the design...

no i mean putting a header of ebay with the flex pipe and a cat then run a welded straight pipe to my s pipe that eventualy goes to the muffler

So basically you just want to run without a resonator.

The resonator has nothing to do with the car being an Accord. It's a part of all exhaust systems. It might be to your benefit to learn what all the parts of an exhaust system do before you make plans to replace them.

Learn about the parts of an exhaust system, and what they do. You will be able to answer your own questions then, and think like a big boy!
