ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Boost Specs for f22a6 Daily Driver

I would like to boost my f22a6 engine in my daily driver cb7. Considering I drive about 20,000 miles/yr, and understanding that my a6 will ultimately blow if boosted, what set up (and what specs) should I run if I want the boost to kick in at the 2,000 - 2,500 rpm range and expect the engine to blow in approximately 2 years. At this point I plan to either get a new car or install a built h22. For now I want boost. I understand that two years of ~20,000mi/yr before blowing may be asking much, but the engine is healthy (about 30,000mi on rebuilt f22a6 purchased last year in November, driven approximately 20,000mi since then).

    91 EX, body/chassis ~235,000; rebuilt f22a6 crate engine ~65,000 (3/2011)
    Neuspeed Super Cup Kit (7/2010)
    TAS rear drum-to-disc conversion (6/2010)

You are asking a very open ended question...and actually asking for quit a bit of information that is not easily given/explained...there are so many variables.

Kinda comes off as if you are asking someone to just give you all the information/parts you would need. I can tell you, that will not happen. Not only is there TOO much info to be answered, it shows a lack of effort to learn what you can on your own...or to learn anything at all. Most folks do not mind helping but to flat out asking for members to just hand everything to you is actually insulting.

Asking for other's advice does not seem insulting to me. In fact, asking for advice in this regard should be considered as respect since I value the knowledge of the members on this forum.
I could learn everything there is to know about the topic I asking and still be interested to know what others on this forum think about my proposition. Besides, from what I've read on this forum, I think that there are many members who are readily capable of answering my question w/o having to put forth much effort. And if there are any questions that members have about what I am asking, I would be glad to answer them, so that they might better be able to provide and answer to my question.

For lower rpm powerband, you simply need a smaller turbo like the dsm 14B

Get the turbo rebuilt if you are buying a used unit, and get a front mount intercooler if you want it to last. Also, get the ECU tuned right obviously. Everything else is straight forward, just like any other turbocharger setup.

That being said, there are too many variables to any turbo setup. It may blow your engine within a month, or it may last for years and years. Engine condition/tuning/driving style are all things to consider. Assuming that everything is installed and tuned correctly and that you don't race at every light, it should definitely last for over two years.
