Lol so I ordered an exhaust from car-option and noticed that it came with 4-2-1 headers & 2.5" piping. Wasn't till after I purchased it I noticed the tip was 4.5". It came with a silencer but oh well, I don't know what I should do.

I don't want my car to sound like a fart can, and I don't want it to look ricey! On top of all that, I'm pretty darn sure when I put on my h&r race springs & koni sports that it's going to hit speed bumps all the time.

I'm probably going to buy another, so I don't know if I should get something from ebay or actually get something from the local performance shop? I mean piping is piping as somebody mentioned before, but the muffler/exhaust tip probably matters right? I'm looking for something around 3".


Any ideas? Thing looks like a damn chrome plated at4

that muffler isnt to bad, considering i have the same one. if you lower it just hit those speedbumps sideways. i wouldnt just get another one use it and get your money's worth unless you can make a profit or loose nothing if you sell this and buy another. sounds alright on mine, well i got a turbo so it wont sound the same as yours.

yeah lol yours would be way more quieter I'm assuming. I'll just wait until everything is running and if I don't like it maybe I'll sell it on ebay for like $35 or something haha.

Well it depends on what brand it is. eBay shit will sound like shit. since you are going n/a it will sound like crap because of how little muffling that muffler does
. I bet it would sound like sex off of a boosted car though. You can always angle the muffler like The 240sx guys do it.

The tip isn't going to affect the sound that much. The resonator and cat will affect it much more than the tip. I've got a 4.5 inch on mine (whichc came with the exhaust attached, but I traded my OEM for the whole damn stainless 60 mm, so I can't cry) and it's not bad. It's got a little rasp around 2500 under partial throttle (and only under the right conditions, I can drive around it, if that makes sense), which you can hear in the first video, but I don't consider it ricey.

Thanks for the videos! That muffler doesn't sound half as bad as I thought it would , but the only difference is is that yours is Spyder and mines no-named lol :/

ok so me and jabercb7 have ebay exhausts but we kept our origanl cats they sound deep and not loud well mine isnt....well jaber ended up getting one that had a 3in tip and i got the 4.5 in tip.mine is so much more softer then his.his is so rediculas loud it vibrates my window on idol.you cant even tell mine is running.and with the windows up u cant hear the muffler when im at wot...but u can sure as hell hear my intake suckin air but not the muffler.its weird in a sense.
