Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    clutch ?

    if i get a h22 trans will i need to get a h clutch or can i use the f clutch??

    The clutches are the same. However, since you'll have the transmission off, it might be wise to replace the clutch at the same time. An Exedy Stage 1 and Fidanza lightweight flywheel are a good combination, and you can find them quite cheap on Ebay. (don't get some cheap "performance" clutch... they're all horrible, and unless you're making over 200whp, you won't need more than that Exedy Stage 1 anyway.)

      ok cool thanks i actually just replaced the clutch but i am grabbing another cb7 with a h22a that the kid hydro locked and gonna either just use the trans or find a block and swap it into mine so thanks deeve

        If your clutch is new, then yeah, keep it.

        Unless it's something shitty like XTD or F1... then it'd be a good time to correct your mistake.

          yea man dont go oem on tha clutch or flywheel, they suck balls.

            what do you have against an F1 clutch? I have had nothing but good luck with f1, no slipping or premature wearing of the clutch or pressure plate, unlike the exedy stage2 clutch that i broke after 1500 miles (Never raced on). and the aluminum flywheels will warp under enough torque and use, thats why i also prefer F1's chromoloy flywheels

              Ummm... no. OEM is probably the BEST option, as long as he's not making more than 200whp.

              F1 is a cheap brand just like XTD. I have personal experience with XTD, as have quite a few other people on here... all of them have failed, some catastrophically (like mine... everything seized in under 60k miles... including the flywheel). I suppose I'm generalizing based on price and appearance, assuming F1 is no better. I may be wrong.

              Exedy has a fantastic reputation. Yours was most likely defective, or installed incorrectly (though you seem to know what you're doing, so I'd be more willing to bet on defective).

              As for the aluminum flywheels... again, no personal experience, but everyone I know that has one hasn't warped a thing. They usually don't warp when used with a quality clutch, and installed properly. If they do, the Fidanza flywheels have a replaceable friction surface.
