ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I did it. The removal is pretty easy, getting it back together is the fun part. I couldn't find any accords with good front non-abs lines, so I just made my own. Pretty much just take your time and be careful.

Well I know the rears are fairly easy. One of the wires from my ABS got cut somehow so I had to replace it. It was just a wire basically running from inside the trunk where its plugged up and down to the wheel (where the sensor is). I'm not sure how the fronts are tho. I'm assuming if u just remove those particular wires with the sensors attached and unplug them then u will no longer have ABS. But I'm just assuming...

The ABS won't function, but the brakes have problems without the equipment working. Just removing the ABS fuses will cause it to cease function.

OP: If you aren't looking to remove everything, you can just unplug the ABS ECU in the trunk. This will disable the ABS system and keep the light in the dash off. I strongly recommend removing everything else though.

Well he said he wanted to gut it. So thats why I recommended removing the wires and sensors. I don't believe the ABS has to do with anything mechanical, with fuses being involved I would guess everything is computerized when it comes to the ABS. LX's and DX's don't even have ABS so I don't see his brakes having any problems (other than not having ABS).

The brake lines go through the ABS pump and actuator under the hood. The pedal feels softer and not as responsive with the ABS still hooked up but not functioning. So, yes it actually is a very mechanical unit. (Sorry if that came off smartass-ish. I cant think of a way to word it better. :/)
