ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

basicly just eyeball it to be the same as stock position and let the aligment guy adjust on the aligment rack.

beware as some shops will try to charge you more for this. go somewhere else if they do.

Depending on your drop, having the camber set to 0 degrees will often cause your upper control arms (and your adjustable ball joints) to whack the inside of the fenderwell. Asking for -1 degree of camber will usually fix this. OR you can hammer out the area of the fenderwell that gets hit (and be sure to paint it, as exposed metal will rust quickly and become dangerous as it spreads.)

But yeah, you really can't set it yourself without the proper tools.

What brand ball joints did you get? Anythnig other than Ingalls or SPC, I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting myself.

        $32 to check? That's bull.

I paid $200 and I get alignments for LIFE. I had to find a firestone that would do my lowered car, though. Well... one rejected me because I told them. The other... I handed them the keys and left. They did it. Of course, they botched it, and my rear tires are shot... but whatever. They did it!

          lol

I know what you mean. What I usually do is get a printout when theyre finished. They are usually lazy and only adjust toe. Then by the printout I go home adjust to where I think it needs to be and take it to another shop to double check. I usually only have to do this once or twice until things are where I need them.

I usually do the 1 yr ones with coupons for like fortysome dollars.

Yeah OP charged just to check is bull. Most places around here do free aligment checks, which is what you got.

Ah, ok. Good to know. Now I can ban you again.

FYI, when you are permanently banned from this site, you are no longer welcome here anymore. Not your screen name... YOU. I suggest going to www.mycb7.com. Read their rules before you start posting, so you don't get yourself banned from there as well.
