ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Suspension.

It's a mild drop on shocks that are near stock replacement. The parts are well matched, and it's much better than slamming your car on stock shocks... but it's not much of a performance setup at all. The good thing is that with a mild drop, you won't really need a camber kit. Just a good alignment.

If you want something good, get some H&R or Neuspeed springs, and Koni shocks. The Neuspeed "Cup Kit" is a very good choice.

Honestly those probably wouldn't even get rid of the gap. and they seem overpriced to me. If I were you I would save up a few more hundred and get some KYB AGX shocks or some Koni Yellow shocks and get some coilover springs for them.

        Slamage is worth the Damage

KYB AGX aren't made for anything more than a 1.5" drop as well.

To be quite honest, if you want a drop that you'll actually notice, you're going to have to get shocks that can handle it. Otherwise, your car will be dangerous to drive. I suggest Koni STR-T shocks, paired with either H&R Sport springs (my favorite stance was on these), or H&R Race springs (I have those now, and it's a bit low for my liking).

He's prolly gonna tell u to hit up neuspeed.com for the STR.T Konis. Those H&R springs u could get off Ebay all day long. And the camber kit, I'm sure he'll suggest the TAS Auto complete UCA/balljoint kit. Other than that u could go with Ingalls or SPC kit, ball joint or anchor bolt style.

Right. Neuspeed.com is the best place for the Konis, and Neuspeed springs are so similar to H&R springs that I'd suggest getting your springs from them as well.

Personally, I got BOTH of my suspension setups from CB7tuner members...

thanks for the advice and help.... ah quick question why is it that lowering springs drop the car lower in the front than in the back???? Also with this suspenion that im about to buy do u think i will need the camber right away.....?

I have no idea why they drop the front lower... I've always wondered that myself.

As for needing the camber kit (camber itself is merely an angle), yes... you would want to get that right away, and have your wheels aligned. Otherwise, you're going to destroy your tires very quickly.

I had a cheap camber kit break on me (note: don't ever buy a cheap camber kit! Ingalls or SPC ONLY!), and I put the stock parts back in. I never re-aligned the wheels. My brand new Falken Ziex 512 tires were showing belts in 6,000 miles.

The lower front evens out the fender/tire gap between the front and rear. Which is usually bigger in the front especially on fwd cars. Not to mention gives a better stance.

lower front relative to back either adds to downforce on the car at high speeds or reduces drag.

unless someone is running their cb7 on a track at 150 mph this would be totally irrelevant to anything, but I guess people think it looks cool, kind of like adding wings on the back of your car.
