ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Personally I dont but a lot of the domestic and Nissan guys in my area are running it. I suggest asking some local Nissan guys in your area or getting on zilvia.net. They seem to have the best grasp of it.Call me Travis.

has anyone used it on cb7? or any other honda car? i am really seduced by being able to tune for one emgine and be able to retune for another if i choose to...and ofcourse $250 price for stand alone thats capable of so much...also if i choose to get rid of the car all i have to do is plug stock pcm/ecu back in...if installed with patience and sensible knowledge....

Here is some info on the company. It works on Hondas too but most of the Honda crowd goes with what they know which is Hondata or K-pro.

I'm on a Formula SAE team and the engine guys are using the MegaSquirt III. Not that I can offer you much info though. I'm on the suspension and braking team which is my real passion.
I do know it's not just going to plug in and work. Unless you find someone who will give you an F22AX map that you trust. Even one F22AX to another will be different though so you'll still need to tune it if you want peak performance.
Your going to need to approach this like real engineering. That means gathering tons of data and doing lots of testing. I'm not trying to scare you. Using the MegaSquirt or any stand alone system allows you to set the car up the way you want as opposed to Honda's engineers who need to make compromises to appeal to the mass market. I just wouldn't expect to be ripping around the local track within a week.Last edited by eight; 07-30-2010, 10:31 PM.
